Idyllic Notions of Work-Life Balance For some reason, experts tell us we should have this thing called "work-life balance."  At one time I strived for balance, too, and then I realized it was a losing battle. Most of all, it bored me.  “But, Jan”   … “You can’t work yourself to death.” No, you can’t.  That’s not what I’m talking about.
